Description
Bokashi is a Japanese fermentation process that turns organic waste (kitchen scraps, manure, agricultural by products) into a nutrient-rich soil amendment, acting as both a fertilizer and soil inoculant by introducing beneficial microbes, improving soil structure, and increasing water retention for healthier, more abundant plant growth. Unlike traditional compost, it ferments anaerobically (without oxygen) and can be prepared quickly (around 2-3 weeks), producing both a solid fermented material and a potent liquid fertilizer that needs dilution before use.
